Easy 30-minute beef lettuce wraps are loaded with tangy marinated beef wrapped in refreshing lettuce leaves–healthy, fast, and flavorful!

Ingredients:
  • 1 large bunch Boston Bibb or butter lettuce
  • 1 lb. lean beef
  • 2 large red and green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp. white wine
  • 1/2 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp. corn starch

Rinse whole lettuce leaves and pat dry, be careful not to tear them. Set aside.

Cut lean beef to small size. In a medium bowl, combine beef, egg yolk, soy sauce and cornstarch; marinate for 30min.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef, butter, and minced garlic in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly.

Cook and stir the chopped green and red bell pepper and water chestnuts in the same skillet until slightly tender.

Stir white wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar into cooked beef. Cook and stir until the onions just begin to wilt, about 2 minutes.

Arrange lettuce leaves around the outer edge of a large serving platter.

Pile meat mixture in the center, and serve.
