Juicy, tender chicken drumsticks braised and infused with black pepper, mirin, and Red Thai Chili Peppers. Chicken are seared until golden-brown and then slowly braised until falling-off-the-bone tender.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  • 6 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 0.25 cup Garlic
  • 2 tbsp. Ginger, sliced
  • 0.25 cup Green Onions, Cut Into 1/2 Inch Pieces.
  • 1 tbsp. Red Thai Chili Peppers, sliced
  • 0.25 tsp. Salt
  • 0.25 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 0.25 cup Mirin
  • 1 tbsp. Rice Wine
  • 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Rock Sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Honey
  • 1 tsp. White Vinegar
  • 1.5 cup Water
  • Half Lemon
  • 1 tbsp. Green Onion, Chopped

Add cooking oil in a pan. Fry the chicken drumsticks for 5-7 mins or until the surface looks golden.

Add garlic, ginger, green onion, red Thai chili peppers, salt, black pepper, mirin, rice wine, soy sauce, rock sugar, honey, white vinegar, and water.

Let it simmer for 10-15 mins on medium heat with the lid on until the soup is reduced.

Lastly, add lemon juice and chopped green onion.
