Whisk the warm water and yeast together in the bowl. Combine the flour, salt, and yeast water in the bowl and gently knead into a smooth, firm ball. Grease the dough with the olive oil, and cover the bowl with a wet cloth or plastic wrap and put it in a warm area to let it double in size, about 1 hour.

Add the chopped garlic, parsley, and olive oil to a sauce pot and cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes, or just until the garlic is soft and fragrant. Season with salt and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Add the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine. Allow the pot to come to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low, and let simmer for 15 minutes minimum, or up to 20 minutes until the ideal thickness.
