Alaskan king crab is loaded with buttery peppery Chinese sauce and flavor. This dish is easy to enjoy as you don’t have to work hard to get at the crab meat.

Ingredients:
  • 8 lb. King Crab
  • 1 cup Super Grains (A blend of white and red quinoa, millet and buckwheat)
  • 0.33 cup Ginger
  • 0.5 cup Scallion
  • 0.33 cup Garlic
  • 0.5 cup Shallot
  • 0.5 cup Mushroom
  • 1 cup Okra
  • 2 tbsp. Peas
  • 2 tbsp. Carrot
  • 2 tbsp. Dried chili pepper
  • 2 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. Black pepper
  • 4 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Honey
  • 0.33 cup Butter
  • 0.25 cup Cooking wine
  • 0.25 cup Oyster sauce

Chop the king crab into pieces.

Clean and remove the guts and gills.

Wash super grains carefully. Drain it well in a bowl. In a medium rice cooker, pour in super grains, water and a few crab meat in crab shell. Put on the lid and cook for 10 minutes.

Heat up a large pan, pour in water, bring it to boil. Put in diced Okra, diced mushroom, diced carrot and peas. Cook them well. Transfer to the rice cooker, and mix with cooked super grains.

Coat all the crab pieces with cornstarch. In a large pot with heated oil, fry them for a while. Drain and set aside.

In the same pan, put in minced ginger, minced garlic, minced scallion and chopped dried chili. Stir-fry until sauté. Add chopped shallot and butter. Keep fry until butter melted. Sprinkle some black pepper. Whisk in soy sauce, cooking wine and chicken broth.

Put the cooked crab back to the pan, pour in oyster sauce, honey and water. Put on the lid and simmer for 1 minutes. Open the lid and fry for a while.

Transfer to a plate. Serve with steamed super grains immediately.
