Steamed Garlic Shrimps with Glass Noodles

  • 10 counts Large Shrimp
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Red Bell Pepper, shred into thin pieces, soaked in water for 10 minutes
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Green Onion, shred into thin pieces, soaked in water for 10 minutes
  • 2 oz Mung Bean Noodle, soaked in lukewarm water for 10 minutes
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 3 tbsp Garlic, Minced
  • 0.5 tsp Sugar [Seasoning]
  • 0.25 tsp Salt [Seasoning]
  • 0.25 tsp White Pepper [Seasoning]
  • 2 tbsp Water + Corn Starch slurry ( a mixture of 1 part Starch and 2 parts Water )
  • 2 tbsp Hot Cooking Oil

Cut out shrimp whiskers and legs, split shrimp in the middle starting from head working toward tail, leaving tail portion uncut.

Cut red bell pepper and Green Onion Into Thin Pieces, Soaked In Water For Ten Minutes

Soak mung bean noodle in warm water.

In a rectangular dish, put mung bean noodle over bottom of the dish, lay shrimps on top of bean threads, tail in the middle, split head toward both sides(form a “W” shape ). Line up all 10 shrimps one by one.

In a small bowl, combine minced fresh garlic, sauteed garlic, sugar, salt to taste, ground white pepper to taste, and some slurry. Mix well.

Drizzle the garlic sauce mixture over the shrimps.
